So I am currently in Barcelona - it’s great. A truly beautiful and fun city to be in - and compared to other parts of Europe the weather is amazing. That said tonight I should be making my way towards Paris and from there on to Amsterdam. I was meant to have been doing this a day ago but I missed the train to Cerbere which was the first stage of my trip to Amsterdam.
Life moves on though, due to missing my train I got another day in Barcelona which has been good so far. Saw the Sagrada Familia, beautiful despite being incomplete. I also managed to get some nice fresh fruit which will be my dinner. This is all thanks to the food markets which are very close to my hostel and quite cheap assuming you don’t get ripped off. For my half kilo of grapes and one apple it cost me all of 70 euro cents. I’m happy with that.
In other news I have essentially reached the half way point of my trip. It has gone so quickly - now I want to try and plan out what I will do with my last month or so before it is finished. That said I don’t even have a full month as my family will be coming to Europe for new years and I would like to catch up with them. That leaves me essentially three more weeks of free travel. Over which time there is Christmas.
Ah well, it will all work out in the end - I hope.
