Happy Australia Day! Anyhow today has been an adventure. It all started trying to get to a train station… a seemingly simple task which was made a lot more difficult by being given the wrong directions by my navigator. This eventually led to us missing the earlier train meaning we had to wait for the next one - leaving the awkward situation of being late. You see I was meeting some friends in the city at Town Hall, more specifically the steps of town hall (a well know area for emos). After meeting these friends we proceeded to join in with the celebrations - this involved two men dancing. Scary I know, and no I wasn’t one of these men.

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t on our side - it started to drizzle. Did I mention that one of the guys was wearing extremely short shorts, an Australian flag as a cape, and a singlet. Well he was. It was both scary and amazing at the same time - they were so incredibly short. He was also one of the ones dancing… I swear normally he’s normal enough (even if he isn’t normal he’s a funny funny guy).

As time goes on we walked and eventually came across one of those very Asian photo-booths. You know the brightly coloured things? All the instructions in foreign languages… Well that didn’t stop us, we managed to get six people in (unless I forgot someone when I counted that number). The photos look terrible though (I’m sorry sane world… these people, they change me - hence the bananas in pyjamas stamp on my hand and the ABC kids tattoo). Also for the very first time there will be a picture of me on my own blog. I expect i’ll only lose one or so readers…
One of the people there (who before today I’d never spoken to) had a knack for having his picture taken… in the rain… or in water… with another one of the group (the same one every time). This continued on throughout the day until eventually we decided to eat… it was four o’clock in the afternoon by that time though. Unfortunately this also signalled in the end of our day in the city (not at four… it was 6:40 or so by then). So it was time to head for the trains again.

We got on the train just fine only loosing one of our number (two if you include the other who left earlier still). As it went on another of our number had to leave, her station was imminent. You see she was paying attention as to when she had to get off - unlike the rest of us.
Yes.
We missed our stop.
We had to wait half an hour for another train back to our station. Oh and then we had to try and stop the rain-photo-fountain guy from trying to show us how he can do a back flip (being Ninja and all…) - you see I really didn’t want the day to end with an ambulance. Plus even though I have learnt CPR and some such before… I really didn’t want to practice it.
It was fun though.
And I swear someone was trying to get some… I’ll let you guess who though. Anyhow sorry if that bit offends - it shouldn’t. Hope everyone had a good Australia Day (even though this post wasn’t actually posted on Australia Day… it would have been if it wasn’t for my site screwing up).

hello there mr j. hows it going? hahahaha that day was so much fun
